Harold Check lives and works in San Francisco, California. Most recently, he served as an editor at Six Apart, makers of Movable Type, TypePad, and Vox.

Previously, he worked at Yahoo! and George Mason University, doing pretty much the same thing he always does -- pointing out interesting people, places, and ideas you'll find online.

He is married to Jenny Check and together they orchestrate the pampered lives of two Abyssinian cats named Gus and Vince.
